Table Tennis Ulster with support from Parkinson’s UK are proud to announce the introduction of a Bat and Chat program which will start this month in Lisburn Racquets Club.

Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world, and currently there is no cure. 1 in 37 people alive today in the UK will be diagnosed with Parkinson’s in their lifetime, and in the UK, around 153,000 people are already living with Parkinson’s.

Table Tennis Ulster hope to use this initial 12 week program as a stepping stone to accomodate those who have been diagnosed. With the improvement of hand-eye coordination, as well as stimulating brain function and concentration, we will try to help those diagnosed slow down the progression of the illness.
