7 Ulster Senior Players along with 2 coaches made the trip to Wolverhampton on 1st March.

On the Saturday morning Ulster players all performed well with Grace Looney winning band 4 beating fellow team mate Niamh Mason in the band 4 final. Also in band 4 Tom Irwin played well getting runner -up spot losing to England top cadet PABLO RAMIREZ RIOJA.

Adam Faulkner got into the semis of band 2 losing to Neagu but Emily Flynn got to the band 2 final losing narrowingly to welsh player darcey Taylor.

Anjali Singh reached the semis losing to Emily Flynn.

Ben Watson came third in his group in band 2.

In the Saturday afternoon session Adam Had a great afternoon with some great personal performances beating Premier League Player Adam Dennison and reaching the last 16 in band 1.

Emily, Anjali and Ben played and fought hard in their groups in band 1 but the afternoon session went to Tom Irwin and Grace Looney both winning band 3 with Tom getting his revenge on the English no 1 cadet Rioja and Grace defeating Ulster team mate Niamh Mason in semis and Sum Monica Chang in the final.

After a hectic day on the Saturday being in the hall for 12 hrs, the squad had limited time to rest and we’re back in action on Sunday at 8.30am. Anjali, Grace and Adam done really well reaching the last 16 of the open section with some notable good wins and Tom and Ben got out of their groups and reached the last 32.

Finally on Sunday afternoon was the U21’s and again the Ulster players competed well with Ben andTom reaching the last 32 and Adam reaching the last 16 beating England and premier league player, No 8 ranked u21 and no 6 Junior,Jason Hunter in the process. Emily also done really well reaching the quarters.

To summarise a great and hectic weekend coming home with 2 golds and 3 silvers and alot of fine personal performances.
