The Malmo Open is known as the European Para Sport Games, one of the top events in Europe for Para Athletes. We were very excited to have two of our Ulster para players competing in this prestigious event, representing Ireland in the table tennis event.
The event was held from 8-13 February 2023 in Malmo, Sweden and the Ulster players performances did not disappoint.
Jude Sheldon (Craigavon TTC) and David McCaughern (Osmond TTC) were Class 8 Plate semi finalists. Well done on securing your bronze medals.
Jude Sheldon then joined with Irish teammate Sam Brennan and were the plate runners up in the Doubles Standing Competition. Congratulations Jude and Sam, some great performances in your event.
And medal number 3 for Jude, came when he competed in the Junior Boys standing competition and was placed 3rd. A fantastic achievement.
